“Since a very young age life conditions forced me to start work in my home. I worked in more than one occupation to complete my studies, and actually I received a high school certificate and got married. I used to prepare food for customers and sell it until I started receiving orders for seafood, and she always used to ask them to supply her with fish which she would cook, and at a particular moment it occurred to her to do fish farming. She performed a feasibility study for the project and prepared the land for implementing the project. In the beginning I was worried given that the idea was new and I had no experience in fish farming.”

Rana added with enthusiasm: “I participated in “MADAD” Project and I enrolled in marketing skills, sales and financial management courses to enable me to manage the project in a proper manner, and in fact after enrolling in the project I was supplied with equipment in addition to connecting me with the most skilled experts, in order to help us in fish farming and sell them, and I started to manage financial affairs in a superior manner which made my project to turn unexpected profits.”

Rana digressed by saying with pride: “I succeeded in establishing the first fish farm in Deir Alla, and this success and excellence happened by a woman from the local community rather than by an investor from outside the area, I am full of pride that I was distinguished as a pioneering woman in this field in my small and conservative community.”
