The program comes within the Green Entrepreneurship Project in Jordan and is funded by the European Union for Mediterranean countries. It aims to develop the capabilities of local communities and institutions to provide a high and distinguished level in the field of supporting green entrepreneurship by transferring the best methods of analysis, development, and sustainability to all entrepreneurs, in addition, to making it available in an electronic platform.

Hijazi explained the importance of launching the Green National Network, as it would offer space and an inclusive platform that includes all stakeholders in the field of the green economy to support environmental entrepreneurs under the supervision and support of the Ministry of Environment.

In turn, Hadjitheodosiou asked the universities to transcend the regular role in the student’s life by incubating projects and ideas, besides developing young entrepreneur skills. She added that launching the Green National Network is significant and should reach all parts of the Kingdom.

Al-Halhouli stressed the university’s interest in green business, and its aspiration to be a center for creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and to work in cooperation with the European Union, the Business Development Center, and its partners to promote the green economy, leadership and social responsibility among students and the local community.
