Riham’s Photographs Dedicated To Capture Beauty In Al-Mreighah

Riham Al-Rkeibat is a bright spot in her community where she created a new type of services in the area, given that the acceptance of the local community of women working for pay is considered a significant transformation. It was an arduous journey from Al-Mreigheh to Maan to obtain a set of photos until a new project came for photography “Studio Al-Raw`a” in order to fulfill the needs of the area.

Here in Al-Mreigheh is a room equipped with facilities atop the house, which was converted to a studio for photography, at the hands of Riham, holder of a diploma, and was supported by her twin sister Razan.

Riham says that her mother directed her to apply for funding through “AZEM” Project which is supported by UNICEF and implemented by BDC, and which immediately accepted the project, providing all the necessary requests for establishing a complete religiously compliant studio.

The population of Al-Mreigheh district is in excess of 8 thousand people, half of whom reside in Mreigheh village the center of the district. Al-Rkeibat says that it is the first project for ladies in Al-Mreigheh, and it emerged to serve the local community and in future I shall enlist the support of young men from among the sons of the area to meet the various needs of the community, but now we photograph the graduation ceremonies and special occasions and personal photos used for official transactions.

Riham who had a passion for cosmetics conferred on the photographs which she took with her own lens greater beauty where her new business involves the participation of all the members of her family for whom the studio is a source of income which achieves, even if partially, a part of their ambition and hopes.

In fact, Mreigheh presently has a project which is compatible with the requirements of the area which assists its graduates and inhabitants to document their moments and memories at the hands of the women of the area and with their hope-filled eyes.
