Maharat was the first comprehensive youth employability program in Jordan targeting university graduates. Initially supported by USAID, Maharat became a self-sustained program dedicated to advancing employability, entrepreneurship, and local economic growth.
With USAID’s support, Maharat program boasted employment rate among its graduates and gained global recognition as a career planning best practice by organizations such as the European Training Foundation (ETF), the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), and GiZ.
The program was designed to bridge the gap between recent university graduates and labor market demands by equipping youth with essential employability skills. Maharat continues to be a model for improving career readiness and job placement outcomes for fresh graduates.
