Graduate Training and Employment Programs: Turning Youth Energy into Employment Opportunities

Overview

The Business Development Center (BDC) designs and delivers youth employment programs that bridge the gap between education outcomes and labor market needs. Through employability training, vocational pathways, and job-search support, BDC contributes to building a highly skilled and employable generation capable of driving inclusive economic growth.

BDC’s initiatives generate tangible results at multiple levels, including:

  • Enabling companies to benefit from qualified individuals who meet professional standards, and linking trained youth directly to existing job opportunities.
  • Training graduates on the competencies and workplace practices required in the labor market.

Maharat for Employment

Maharat (Skills for Employment)

Maharat (Skills for Employment) focuses on developing young people’s personalities, enhancing their self-confidence, and improving their employability. It supports youth in building clearer career pathways by strengthening essential personal and professional skills aligned with labor market needs. The program also emphasizes work ethics, professionalism, and linking participants to real job opportunities.

Maharat for Universities

BDC successfully introduced Maharat program to seven Jordanian universities as an accredited elective course (three credit hours), following the directives of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah during her visit to the Business Development Center.

Maharat Entrepreneurship

Recognizing the crucial role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and creating job opportunities, Maharat Entrepreneurship aims to inspire and empower youth to start and develop their own businesses. It is an intensive initiative designed to identify and expand young people’s potential to launch startups or enhance existing small enterprises.
