Gender Sensitization in Jordan Ecosystem

Under the patronage of H.E. Ali Ghezawi, Jordan Minister of Labour, the Business Development Center (BDC) with KVINFO, the Danish Center for Research and Information on Gender, Equality and Diversity held its Sharaka Forum for Gender Sensitization in the Jordan Ecosystem, featuring a Business Case Study and Gender Consultation conducted to leading Private Sector Companies in Jordan. The evening event was held on Monday 22nd January with Umniah, BioLab and Pharmacy One recognized for their reformed HR Policies as leading advocates for women friendly workplaces in Jordan.

Opening the event, BDC President and CEO Nayef Stetieh gave a keynote speech to a collection of international actors and gender experts on the importance of supporting programmes that empower women to thrive and develop in the workplace, in particular through forming partnerships between the public sector, private sector and civil society. Nayef highlighted BDCs partnership with KVINFO, the Ministry of Labour, and some of Jordans leading Companies, and their shared commitment, best practices, and respectful working environments that are helping to increase women economic participation in Jordan.
